(a) What is a Dasha (Planetary Season) ?
A DASHA is a PLANETARY SEASON of various planets that are in effect in a person's life for a specific period. DASHA or PLANETARY SEASON of every planet has a standard operating period universally irrespective of any person's horoscope. However, the date of start of a DASHA of a planet & the date of end of a DASHA of a planet in a person's life depends on the person's horoscope. DASHA is one parameter of Vedic Astrology to read and analyze a Horoscope (Kundali or Jataka).
(b) What is a Bhukti or a Antardasha (Planetary Sub-Season) ?
The DASHA of every planet is sub divided into 9 segments and each segment becomes a PLANETARY SUB SEASON known as BHUKTI or ANTARDASHA. BHUKTI or ANTARDASHA is also an another parameter to read and analyze a Horoscope (Kundali or Jataka).
(c) What is a Graha Gochara (Planetary Transit) ?
When all GRAHAS (PLANETS) travel from one RASHI (ZODIAC SIGN) to another, this phenomenon is known as GRAHA GOCHARA (PLANETARY TRANSIT). This phenomenon of GRAHA GOCHARA is also an another parameter to read and analyze a horoscope (Kundali or Jataka).
(d) What is a Varga Chart (Divisional Chart) ?
A VARGA CHART (DIVISIONAL CHART) is a SUB HOROSCOPE derived mathematically from the main Horoscope of a person. The VARGA CHART is also an another parameter to read and analyze a horoscope (Kundali or Jataka). The VARGA CHARTS are used to read and analyze an element or an aspect of a person's life in greater detail.
(e) What is Guru Bala (Strenght of the planet Jupiter) ?
If the planet GURU (JUPITER) is placed functionally strong or powerful in a person's Horoscope or when the planet GURU (JUPITER) gains strength or power during his GOCHARA (PLANETARY TRANSIT) in a person's Horoscope, this phenomenon is known as GURU BALA. A person with a GURU BALA in his Horoscope or GURU BALA during the GOCHARA (PLANETARY TRANSIT), is generally rendered PROSPERITY, WISDOM AND GOOD LUCK at generally few or generally all fronts of the person's life.
(f) What is Sade Sati (Bad phase caused by Saturn) ?
The planet SHANI (SATURN), travels between 3 specific RASHIS (ZODIAC SIGNS) in a person's Horoscope and causes a bad phase in a person's life which involves mental and physical pain and miseries to the person at certain fronts or all fronts of the person's life. The period of SADE SATI spans for 7.5 years approximately.
(g) What is a Dosha (Defect in a horoscope) ?
A DOSHA (DEFECT IN A HOROSCOPE) is a phenomenon that causes pain and miseries in few or many areas of person's life due to the negative positioning or combination of few planets or all the planets in a person's horoscope.
(h) What is a Yoga (Benefit or advantage in a horoscope) ?
A DOSHA (DEFECT IN A HOROSCOPE) is a phenomenon that causes pain and miseries in few or many areas of person's life due to the negative positioning or combination of few planets or all the planets in a person's horoscope.
